Alabama farmers showing little creative effort...

Farmers in Alabama are complaining that they will not be able to meet harvesting demands without the migrant workforce they've been able to employ in years past.  NPR radio interviewed an Alabama farmer who stated that working in the field is one of those jobs that Americans just simply do not want to perform.  This farmer complains that the work will not be done and it will have a detrimental effect on the Alabama economy as a whole.  Another interview on NPR was conducted with a recent college graduate who earned a degree in agriculture who also complained that there will be no one to do the work necessary for the harvest. 

There is little doubt in any ones mind that farming is key to the survival of America.  American farming is key to the survival of many across the globe, a subject for another day.  Farmers know more than anyone how important their work is.  Farmers should be working directly with institutions of learning all over the country in order to attract and develop a more professional resource of workers.  Where the harvest workers were once migrant, legal or otherwise; Alabama farmers could be working to attract college bound or undergraduates to not only work the fields but gain life credit as well as allow the farmer to become part of a college curriculum in the sciences associated with agriculture.  Yes the work is difficult, knowing this and experiencing this will enable the farmers of tomorrow to properly accommodate the workers of the harvest in the next generation. 

Alabama, you are a state in the land of opportunity.  It is time for you recognize this fact and act accordingly.

What is the GOP definition of "less government"?

We have spent years listening to conservative candidates for office state that "less government" is the answer to our problems.  What is the definition of "less government"?  It sounds good, right?  Less government, less tax burden, less legislation, less public expense, right?

We are continuing to experience difficult times.  We have continued to fund and bail out those who have led us to our demise in the first place, not to mention elect people who fail to represent the people of the United States of America.  When it became clear to FDR that the US had to enter the war, he met with the major manufacturers of this country telling them that their country is counting on them to supply the war.  The auto makers initial response was "we'll see what we can do after we meet our schedule of automobile production."  FDR quickly responded to them by telling them that their schedules have been put on hold and all production stopped in 1942.  The auto makers of America were forced to change their strategies and participate in the greater good of the nation.

We have allowed a morally bankrupt leadership decide the fate of millions based upon the strength of the dollar and how many of them will line the pocket of said leaders.  We are in a crisis.  Less government is good, but who defines the powers and boundary lines of this government.  Less government as it is preached by the Tea Party and the GOP is nothing more than less control over corporate America, who by the way has purchased legislation over the course of decades in order to pocket cash by the trillions.

Conservatives also preach of the power of the open market instead of a government controlled and regulated industrial complex.  I must agree that the open market is important to a free society.  Conservatives will have you believe that union labor is opposed to the open market.  It is union labor and the collective bargaining that airs the problems related to greed and hazardous practices on either side of the table.  Union labor provides a relief from government intervention when properly implemented.  Union labor provides a balance of power and opportunity.  Profiteering and price gouging is kept in full view.

Massachusetts had a contender for governor some years ago, her name was Carla Howell.  This woman was a one note wonder in her commercials as well as in debates.  Her one line through out her entire campaign was "small government is beautiful!"  That was it!  She got lots of press coverage.  "Small government"  packs a punch and sounds really attractive.  But who is saying it?  The true meaning of small government depends upon the person making the statement.  It could be an idea as empty as what Carla Howell brought to the table, or it could mean something very diabolical in terms of less regulation over business practices in the US.  Everyone needs to contribute - "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country."  John F. Who's defending the Constitution of the United States locally these days?

When was the last time you've read the 1st ammendment to the constitution? 

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." 

Which part of this ammendment allows the government to restrict the people from organizing, assembling and petitioning?  We are allowing a dangerous precedent to be set in this land of ours as we allow our state governmens to strip public service unions of their bargaining rights!  The slippery slope that no one ever wants to admit to does exist and is more evident today than ever before.  Be warned my fellow Americans that Nazi Germany was founded as they stripped the German workers of their union rights.  We are living in a land of opportunity, but it is now limited to the elect and the select. 

The time is now for our nation to recognize that our politicians are failing at every level.  Local reps and managers are still getting paid, still getting raises, still despite their failures to manage and represent effectively.  When electing your local managers, mayors, town council and representatives ask yourself if the incumbants have worked to make your neighborhood a better, safer, less expensive place to live.  If your tax burden has increased do you ask why?  Is it because of six figure salaries your managers insist are competitive wages?  Get honest with yourself, when your elderly neighbor has been taxed out of his or her home and your town or city manager has not only refused to take a pay cut but asked for a raise there is a problem!  Public service was at one time voluntary.  We have industrialized our politics to the degree where we cannot tell the difference between private enterprize and public service any longer.    How much time do we have before we are stripped of all our fundemental liberties?  "Gentlemen may cry peace, peace - but there is no peace!  The war has actually begun!  The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Multi Level Marketing - Snake Oil Salespeople of the 21st Century?

I have a dear friend who has been sending me emails, texts, twits, facebook pokes and calls to ask me to join her as part of her sales team.  I've spent time investigating MLM's in the past, I've done my time if you will!  There are those who are said to be very successful working an MLM, though I've never personally met them.  Anyone who has requested my attention for his or her presentation was always someone who was just starting out in the company.  This latest attempt at my attention is literally for an oil, a motor oil of sorts.  The claims of the company are that fuel efficiency increase dramatically and a huge reduction in air pollutants.  The company claims years of experience and success marketing and distributing to the corporate world where large earth moving machinery has shown increased fuel efficiency as well as longer service hours between regular maintenance.  My question is if this company is already enjoying a great reputation why not capitalize upon your already established customer base.  In other words, you are spending all sorts of money and time utilizing the small efforts of many where you could utilize the power of your established relationships and branding.  We all know that MLM's have their place in the sales world.  There are some established products that have kept their commitment to the MLM workforce as it continues to work for them but to start from a point of success and turn your marketing strategy to an MLM company?  I googled the product for testimonies, including the word scam and complaint independently within the searches.  The MLM has flooded google with its own testimonies where the negative "rip off reports" are not to be found.  These are start up strategies, not the practices or concerns of a well established company with a reputable product.  Going back to my dear friend who seems to be enjoying what she is doing, though she is now obligated to show herself in that light.  Maybe she will be the first person I've met who genuinely enjoys great success with an MLM.  If that does happen, I'll be sure to let you all know!

Wisonsin Residents signing the petition to recall Scott Walker...

If you are a resident of Wisconsin and you are disgusted with your Governor then get on your computer and browse over to http://www.unitedwisconsin.com/.  Be sure to connect with this website and not others that look to offer the same content.  There are false websites out there where your information will simply not be submitted.  The Internet solution requires information proving residency as well as authentication of signature via electronic means. 

If you are not a resident of Wisconsin but know people who live there, encourage them to sign this petition and send a message to the elitist of the land that the people they mock and walk on are going to stand up for their rights!  The outcome of this fight will have its effect on the rest of the country.  I recently was in a conversation with a fine gentleman who works and lived close to Wisconsin, this person is a top executive in a high tech type company and is about as disconnected from the common worker as anyone in his position could be.  The conversation was virtual, and even within that platform he managed to dodge the one question I kept asking throughout our posts.  I asked "shouldn't the Governor and other public executives of the land be the first to sacrifice, and then call others to do the same?"  This person never addressed the question, he offered his opinions on many other problems, but not the one question I asked. 

This top executive and I have never personally met, though we do share several friendships, people who I consider very good friends.  This conversation was to me a form of evidence that this disconnect needs to be repaired as soon as possible.  Allowing this disconnect to continue and grow will only serve to create a more disturbing civil unrest in the years to come.  The people of Wisconsin should recall Scott Walker.  The people of the United States should demand a "Peoples Bill" that will define circumstances of fiscal emergency that would limit public salaries on all levels and private profiteering during such a crisis.  A bill that would require town meetings in order to discuss the best method of recovery on all levels of state government.  A bill that would require each state to appoint and send special representatives to a Washington Town Meeting addressing the same on a national level.  Empower the people who actually run the country on a daily basis, people who are not bought off by gifts or kick backs in exchange for congressional votes.

What are we learning from Wisconsin?

First things first, take inventory of your state!  It seems there is a lack of oversight where government executive salaries are concerned.  A local city manager in Massachusetts asked for a significant raise in the last several months stating that not only does he deserve it, the raise would only bring him closer to what others are making at his capacity.  This manager already makes about the same salary as the Mayor of the capitol of Wisconsin.  City, town, state and department executives are making far too much money off of the general public.  Each state in the union should consider legislation that would cap executive and administrative salaries during times of financial distress.  This would automatically lead the way for others in collective bargaining situations to be called to follow suit.  Calling private companies who do business, who perform and provide services, whether regulated or not, they should be held to some level of accountability if these companies want to continue to do business within the borders of the given state.  This would eliminate profiteering to some degree.  Where American oil companies continue to record record breaking profits, this would stop being at the expense of the people of your state if such companies were told that in order to continue to do business in this state, a quarterly record of profit must be submitted to the state that will not exceed a certain level of profit during the fiscal crisis.  These companies will have to justify raising prices in order to continue doing business.  The key change in policy here is to hold everyone accountable to the same standard where everyone will see the crisis through.  During the last 60 years we've gifted individuals where these people could not afford rent, utilities, mortgage, food and medicine.  By holding everyone accountable, the people who are working for less will be able to afford what they need to survive.  Maybe we should call it the "Peoples Bill".  Anybody agree?

New historical record and timeline!

Our understanding of mankind, the birth and cradle of civilization on our little planet is altered.  We know that mankind was civilized at least five thousand years earlier than we originally thought.  The cradle of civilization was not Mesopotamia.  We don't really know where civilized man began as it was clearly pre-deluge.  The History Channel has recorded a series that covers the unexpected underwater historical records in terms of large structures and remnants of cities.  The History Channel reports that over 10,000,000 square miles of land were lost as a result of the great deluge. Experts believe that the ice caps that covered the tops of our currently populated continents melted away and began to flood and cover what we know today as the ocean floor.  The History Channel states that the new findings also offer evidence of extra terrestrials on Earth.  They offer no other possible explanation for how early man could have moved and created the mega structures that have been discovered.  Bible scholars have yet to key in and discuss the significance of these fantastic discoveries on the oceans floors.  There are so many exciting possibilities of discovery involved that could redefine our understanding of the book of Genesis.  Could the size of the Garden of Eden been larger than originally thought?  Where the there is significant evidence in the East as well as the West in terms of supernatural activity causing disturbances off the coast of Japan as well as in the Bermuda Triangle.  Both location said to be about the same in terms of the equator.  The gates of the great Garden of Eden was said to be guarded forever.  The History Channel speaks of the City of Atlantis and it's sudden demise as recorded by Plato as a sort of UFO event where the city didn't sink, but it took off into the sky and into space.  The Bible speaks of the "Sons of God", and their offspring with the daughters of men.  The offspring of the Sons of God were said to be supernatural in terms of strength and ability.  The Bible record discusses Nimrod as one of the offspring, as a mighty warrior on Earth, scholars assert that Nimrod build the city of Babylon.  Should we decide to truly comb the ocean floors, we may enter into a new age of wonderful discovery!
